As the largest logistical and manufacturing nerve center of the Russian Federation, Moscow and the surrounding Moscow Oblast are witnessing an unprecedented shift towards end-of-line automation. Major industrial zones—ranging from petrochemical complexes in Kapotnya to the booming construction material factories in Dmitrov and Noginsk—require packaging that guarantees absolute stability under rigorous transit conditions.
The core challenge for Moscow's industrial logistics lies in the seasonal weather extremes. With winter temperatures plummeting to -30°C and below, conventional pallet packaging methods, such as standard rotary stretch wrapping, frequently fail. At sub-zero temperatures, standard PVC and low-grade PE films lose their elasticity, turn brittle, and tear during transport. Furthermore, the freeze-thaw condensation cycle common in Moscow storage facilities introduces moisture that destroys cardboard boxes, ruins dry mortar bags, and rusts industrial goods.
Our heavy-duty stretch hood machines directly solve these issues. By applying a continuous tube of high-elasticity metallocene PE film without heat, the machine creates a robust, 5-sided waterproof barrier. The film exerts vertical and horizontal tension (elastic energy recovery), securing heavy, non-uniform loads like cement, chemical drums, and machinery components. This ensures complete load integrity from Moscow warehousing complexes to remote distribution points in Siberia.
Throughout Moscow's logistics network, key stakeholders are realizing that stretch hooding offers superior returns compared to traditional shrink-wrap and rotary wrapping:

How Shanghai Jinye blends cutting-edge technology, integrated supply chains, and cost advantages for Moscow purchasers.
Unlike European suppliers who only build packaging machinery, we engineer the complete solution: from 5-layer co-extrusion blown film lines to the final stretch hooder machines. This ensures complete system compatibility.
Operating our own advanced laser cutting systems, precision bending machines, and modern milling units ensures that every mechanical component satisfies global tolerances, ensuring smooth, high-speed operation.
With machines installed in over 100 countries, we understand global logistics, container packaging, custom voltage adjustments for Russian standards (380V, 50Hz), and remote commissioning practices.

| Packaging Parameters | Rotary Stretch Wrapper | Gas Shrink Hooder | Shanghai Jinye Stretch Hooder |
|---|---|---|---|
| Weatherproof Rating | Low (Moisture penetrates wraps) | High (5-sided sealed cover) | Excellent (100% Hermetic Seal) |
| Energy Consumption | Medium (High mechanical wear) | Very High (Requires gas burners) | Extremely Low (Pneumatic & Mechanical) |
| Film Material Consumed | High (Up to 30 layers required) | High (Heavy-gauge film) | Optimized (Single sheet stretched up to 30%) |
| Structural Load Stability | Medium (Can shift in transit) | High (Stiff plastic jacket) | Superior (Dynamic vertical/horizontal tension) |
| Performance at -30°C | Poor (Tearing, loss of cling) | Medium (Difficult heat shrink process) | Flawless (Using metallocene low-temp elastic films) |
The core technology behind the stretch hood packaging system lies in the elastic memory of tubular PE film. Unlike shrink hooding, which relies on gas burners to shrink the plastic around the load, our stretch hooders physically stretch a tube of film using four heavy-duty corner grippers. The machine calculates the dimensions of the incoming pallet using ultrasonic sensors and stretches the film 10% to 30% larger than the load footprint.
Once lowered, the natural elastic recovery forces of the metallocene-catalyzed polyethylene hold the pallet tight. This tension is dynamic: as the pallet travels over bumpy Russian highways or shifts slightly on freight trains, the film contracts and maintains holding force. In cold storage warehouses across Moscow Oblast, this dynamic tension is the only packaging technique that prevents shifting and spills of heavy goods, such as brick stacks, cement bags, and filled chemical kegs.
To support advanced stretch hooding, standard 1-layer or 3-layer films are insufficient. Our 5-Layer Blown Film Extrusion Machine enables the production of engineered films with distinct specialized layers:
A key trend in Moscow's new warehouse builds is the integration of end-of-line packaging with Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS). Our stretch hood machines feature open-architecture PLC protocols (Siemens or Schneider Electric) allowing seamless integration with conveyor lines, robotic palletizers, warehouse management systems (WMS), and automated guided vehicles (AGVs). The flat, highly transparent surface of the stretch-hooded pallet guarantees that barcode scanners can read product labels at any stage of delivery without glare or distortion.
